About Us

The Barron Group was founded in February 2013, and specialises in the provision of high quality English language services, from translation and proofreading to seminars and longer courses. Our entire staff is comprised of native English speakers who are based in Ljubljana, and have extensive experience teaching Slovene learners and translating Slovene to English.

Yuri Barron

Yuri Barron, director
Born in Alaska and raised near Seattle in the United States, Yuri has spent nearly a decade in Central and Southeast Europe (Prague, Belgrade, Ljubljana). He founded the Barron Group in 2013 in order to more efficiently connect experienced native English speakers with clients in need of high quality language services in Slovenia. When not teaching courses, he’s the Editor-in-Chief of In Your Pocket city guides.

Will Dunn, head instructor
Will was born and raised in Manchester, England, to parents of Irish descent. He first visited Slovenia in 2007, and decided that was the place for him, helped by a little romance of course. Now after some 10 years in the land of milk and honey, he has no plans to change his base-country, having become one of the rare native English speakers to master the Slovene language. He is happiest on a bike, but also loves hiking and playing the guitar.
